Venn diagram type
This type of diagram can illustrate additive or subtractive colour mixing. For subtractive colours the primaries (yellow, red and blue) are be placed in the outer portions of the circles. Where one circle overlaps with one other, secondary colours appear. Finally in the centre, where all three circles overlap, a dark tertiary colour is present. For additive colours the primaries red, green and blue are used, resulting in a white central section.
